Hair conditioner and detangler

Some commercial products are advertised as hair conditioners and detanglers, but using them over a period of time can damage the hair.
To keep the hair shiny, some of the steps recommended by hair dressers are:

- use a good shampoo first
- then  deep condition the hair
- use leave in conditioner
- when detangling hair use a wide tooth comb and start from the ends and work ur way up

Relaxed hair

Relaxing the hair is the process of adding chemicals to the hair to make it straighter. Many  African American women have very curly hair, which is difficult to comb.  They get it relaxed, so that it is easier to manage.  By relaxing the hair,  it loosens the curls.
